If you’ve decided to move to San Diego, well, good choice! This Southern California city has everything you need to live the good life.
San Diego is close to the Mexican border so there is no shortage of good Mexican and Latin cuisine there. The city rims the Pacific, so enjoy delicious, fresh seafood all year round! And of course, given the nice weather, you’ll also have access to fresh fruits and vegetables.
Great Craft Beers
What’s the point of all that great food if there isn’t any great booze to wash it down? Luckily, San Diego is home to many craft beer breweries. Ever heard of Ballast Point? Or Mission Brewery? You can find these and other great microbrews in San Diego. Grab a 6-pack and head to the beach for a relaxing day.
Lots of Surfing
Speaking of the beach, if you love surfing, you’ve come to the right place. San Diego is home to some of the best surfing beaches in the US and people travel from everywhere to get a chance to ride the waves. There are 70 miles of open coastline available where you can meet surfers of all levels.
Culture and History
Dotted throughout San Diego are monuments and museums that speak to its multi-cultural history and population. You can see the spot where Europeans first set foot on the west coast and there are also old settlements to visit. There’s also a strong Mexican influence the closer you get to the border, so make sure you visit these areas when you get a chance.
The biggest selling point for San Diego is the weather. It’s almost always sunny and the temperature ranges from the low to mid-60s to the mid to high-70s. You’re never too hot or too cold and at night, all you need is a light jacket. And the ocean breeze makes for bug-free, outdoor dining. It’s like living in a place where every day is April 25th!
