It might be November, but that doesn’t mean you have to spend the holidays bundled up indoors. Pack your bathing suit, head for a warmer part of the continental US and enjoy the surf. We’ve compiled a list of the top 5 beaches you should visit this winter.

Miami Beach, Florida

Also known as the international party city, the festivities never end in this part of Florida. If you decide to take a dip in the ocean, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the warm water, thanks to the Gulf Stream. If swimming isn’t your thing, there’s plenty of nightlife available for you to party into 2021.

Hilton Head, South Carolina

Hilton Head Island has 12 miles of sand and ocean available for you to run, bike and surf the holidays away. Most of the beaches are open to the public, so grab a towel and a picnic the day away.

Outer Banks, North Carolina

Even if you’re just there for the warmer weather, there’s plenty to do in the Outer Banks other than beach bummery. If you’re into history and aviation, check out the Wright Brothers National Memorial. If its other activities that grab you, try the mini-golf courses, old lighthouses, the aquarium and a variety of local restaurants.

San Diego, California

You can’t beat year-round warm weather, sunshine and one of the best zoos in the world. Travel to San Diego to enjoy 70 miles of beach and some of the best Mexican food outside of Mexico!

Nantucket, Massachusetts

Who says beach time has to be about skimpy bathing suits and tans? If you don’t mind a chill, take a road trip through New England and enjoy a chic vacation with the elites of Boston. Who knows, maybe you’ll even run into Bill Belichick at a local bar.
